New Product Line: Mastercraft Models Collection – Space Shuttle and other Space Exploration models.

We have added a new line of models at Spectrum Scientifics: Mastercraft Models. These models are painstakingly crafted from Phillipine Mohagany and hand-painted with exact detailing. Mastercraft primarily builds commercial and warfare aircraft models, but for now we are carrying their line of Space Exploration models.

These means Space Shuttle models!

New Metal Earth Models

Fascintations comntiues to produce more and more models for their popular Metal Earth line. These are models that come on laser-cut metal sheets that you punch out and assemble to make extremely realistic and detailed models of various cars, buildings, vehicles, etc. We don’t carry the entire line but we have added 4 new models to our offerings. Metal Earth – Star Wars. They. Are. Here!

We’ve been waiting to get these for a while. A lot of little delays happened with production and ordering but now we can happily say that we now have METAL EARTH STAR WARS MODELS!

For those of you unfamiliar, Metal Earth is a set of models made from laser-cut sheets of steel. The come in simple envelopes and are used to make things like Sailing Ships, Tanks, Planes, historic buildings, and so on. The models are small (3-4″ typically), but have insane levels of detail.  A few of the models were licensed, but they never really added any big lines. Until now:

Human Body System Model Activity Sets

When t comes to teaching students about how the various squishy parts of the human body work, simple transparencies and books sometimes just do not cut it. That’s why we have these Hubbard Scientific Human Body System Models to aid in education. Each Model has a 24″ x 18″ markable model made of durable vinyl as well as an activity guide  with background information. teach activities, glossary, model key, color transparencies, and a black line master. Six different kits are available. Staring with the Circulatory System:

5017This model consists of a cut-away 3D model of the interior of the heart as well as a model line of the human body’s veins and arteries. The model is tactile so students can trace the path of blood through the heart or the entire body.In addition a colorful three-overlay transparency of the heart is provided for further details.

Next up is the Respiratory System

5018With this set student can get a clear view of how they breath. The 3D cutaway features three detailed reliefs.  the cutaway human torso , and enlarged Bornchial tree and greatly magnified alveoli. The torso shjows multiple layers of the lungs as well as detail of the nasal passages, etc. Supplemental materials are included as well.

 

Now we detail how we eat with the Human Digestive System Model

5019This models shows details of the mouth, salivary glands, esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas and intestines. Each section has a cutaway and enlargements are made of the stomach and intestines. Transparencies and other supplemntary teaching materials are included.

Now we get jittery with the Nervous System

5020This model demonstrations the structure of our central an peripheral nervous system. The cutaway human brain includes a removable transparent overlay defining the lobes. Details of the spinal cord, spinal nerves dendrites, axons, and synapes are included.

Last but not least we get to the wasteful model, or more specifically the Urinary System

5021This model features colorful views of the kidneys in detail, illustrating a magnified nephron. The kidney portion is dissected to illustrate the cortex, pyramid, calyx and papilla.

The sixth d final model f this series is the Endocrine System Model

This activity set helps students understand the structure and function of the endocrine system. Seven endocrine glands are depicted in whole and magnified sectional detail along with several related organs.  included on the mode are the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal glands, pancrea, ovaries, and testes.

 

 

Each set of models sells for $139.95 as of this writing. Teachers can also order Human Body Systems Master Set which includes all six models and their supplemental materials.
